Promoting Awareness-A Guide for the Profession-OT Practitioners, Educators, Students and Researchers
As a member of the occupational therapy profession, you know what occupational therapy is about. It's really about helping people do what they need to do, what they want to do, to help them succeed in everyday life. You have all made a difference in people's lives. Some of you have even experienced that singular moment, when a patient you've worked with looks you in the eye and says, "You have given me my life back."

Is that a moment you would like to share? Would you like parents, caregivers, patients and potential clients to understand how you can help them, too? Don't more people need to know?

Getting Involved

More People Need to Know

Raising awareness of occupational therapy helps your business and the profession in general. As more people, including decision makers, become better aware of the benefits of occupational therapy, the public perception of the value of occupational therapy services will increase. To find out more about promoting occupational therapy-what to say, when to say it, and how to get your message across to the right people-see the Promote OT Toolkit

While information about the profession exists in many formats, it has not been grouped and packaged to appeal to outside audiences in a purposeful way. The Fund To Promote Awareness of Occupational Therapy is continually adding materials to the Promote OT Toolkit to help occupational therapy practitioners and supporters communicate the profession more effectively.

Wouldn't you like to encourage awareness of what occupational therapy can accomplish? Please donate.
