L.L.Bean, Inc., the outdoor gear and apparel manufacturer, is our partner in raising awareness about backpack
health and safety during National School Backpack Awareness Day. Because about one-third of occupational therapy
practitioners work with children in school systems, pediatric hospitals, and other health care facilities, L.L.Bean
considers us experts. They provide tips on their web site and in their catalogues for the proper fitting and wearing
of backpacks, and they link their site to the AOTA site.
