Despite many positive gains recently, the profession of occupational therapy remains largely underappreciated among the general public, referring health care providers, and other key audiences. The Fund To Promote Awareness of Occupational Therapy (The Fund) was created by AOTA as its "awareness arm" — part of a long-term strategy to raise awareness of occupational therapy.

AOTA members have told us that raising awareness of their profession is their first priority. They are interested in supporting programs that will increase the public's understanding of occupational therapy.

If you understand occupational therapy and would like to help others appreciate its value, consider a donation to The Fund. If you're familiar with the education and outreach projects conducted by The Fund, and would like to see them continue, consider a contribution to The Fund.

When you contribute to The Fund To Promote Awareness of Occupational Therapy, your contribution goes directly to support its programs and projects, and is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
